The VEVO thing is something I've only noticed with Tonight Alive (I think cause we don't really use it here in the States the way the rest of the world does) - every single time they upload a video to VEVO, it takes up to a few days for it to be viewable in the US. I really don't get it, and I'd hope the label would have looked into it by now but either they haven't or there's no way to fix it. It's probably some weird licensing issue or something. Bums me out cause I want to post the link on the main page, but half the people who see the post won't be able to watch it, and I can't even grab the embed code. I was able to view and download it via proxy though. Tonight Alive plus Spider-Man makes me happy.

I thought it was done on purpose that way before with Tonight Alive.
Yeah, I have seen this issue often with premiers with other artists that have world wide premieres on vevo, artists like katy perry, demi lovato, avril lavigne. But the issue is only in the morning hours and by early afternoon it's been resolved. Must be because they make the videos live in the UK and over seas earlier, but it doesn't become available in the united states until the afternoon.
I wonder if this issue with tonight alive is that Sony Music Australia is uploading the music video, but they don't own the rights to the united states there for don't select that country when uploading. And Fearless is dropping the ball by authorizing the video to the United States, or vevo is by processing fearlessness license.

Just scored an amazing find. I came across the music video for the Edge in extremely high quality. Not sure if its the original recording that was provided to content providers or was an encoding made for blu-ray. But its a mp4 file, 1080P and nearly 4 times the file size as VEVO's 1080p mp4 file! The quality is like watching a Blu-Ray when playing back through my Apple TV on my 51" 1080p samsung plasma tv=)

The issue could be with Sony Music Australia, but since Sony is releasing the soundtrack worldwide, I don't think Fearless has anything to do with it. A little disconcerting too... I just went to look up the whole Spider-Man 2 soundtrack, which is up for pre-order. No mention of Tonight Alive, and the lead single is an Alicia Keys & Kendrick Lamar song. Plus any mention of "The Edge" being on the Spider-Man soundtrack has been removed from iTunes US. What's with that?
(Any way you could upload that super hi-def version of The Edge or link me to where you found it... pretty please?)

Well, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is I can confirm the music video will definitely be coming to the United States and Canada. This was posted on Tonight Alive's Facebook page: The bad news is they don't know when yet, there has been a delay and they are working on it. Also in bad news, Amazon, and all other online retailers have no mention of The Edge on the Amazing Spiderman 2 soundtrack, including the 2 disc deluxe edition seem to be missing it. If I can get any clarification on this I'll let post it here. But at this time, it does not seem the song will be making the soundtrack in The United States or Canada. And the fact that the picture you posted removes "From the Amazing Spiderman 2 Soundtrack" kind of seals the deal. Looks like it just won't happen in The United States and Canada. They are pushing this song big to, so that's lot of missed exposure and chance to grow in the United States=\. Also in addition to changing the album cover, the record label information tag has been changed from "Sony Music Entertainment Australia Pty Ltd." to "Fearless / Sony Music Entertainment Pty Ltd." in the meta data for the song. Fearless Clearly owns the rights to the song now in North America and not Sony. I would have to guess that it almost has to do something with the licensing between Fearless and Sony. And that is a little disconcerning as well. It almost makes me wonder too if the delay has to do with the removal of all the spider man sound track stuff? I wonder if the US will end up with a band performance version of the video minus all the spider man? The site where I found the video says that The Edge was written exclusively for the Australian Release of The Amazing Spider Man 2 and the Australian Soundtrack for the movie. It seems to have been expended to the UK if not more of the world though. As it's the single in the UK and on the UK version of the Soundtrack as well. If that's the case though, maybe the song will be on the movie in parts of the world and not the United States, that would be a little sad if that's the case. But heres the link: www.freshremix.org/electro/63750-tonight-alive-the-edge-from-the-motion-picture-the-amazing-spider-man-2-2014-hd-1080p.html

I like that they're at least encouraging fans to share alternate links so that everyone can see it, rather than saying, "Oh, don't worry, it's coming eventually. You'll see it then. *legal stuff*" So it's looking like this may be another expensive import item worth having, haha. That Fearless mention was added today, I guess, cause it wasn't like that last night. Kind of sucks if Fearless gave them trouble and that's why it wasn't on the soundtrack, but I feel like it was more because they're barely known here. I was wondering that about the video as well. We're obviously going to get the video... but is it going to be Spider-Man free? (Something I mind and don't mind at the same time.) Thanks for the link to the video. Sucks that it seems to be an Australia/UK-only release on the soundtrack, but that's still really awesome exposure. Maybe next time around they'll be featured on a US soundtrack.

Yeah, Tonight Alive are not as well known over here. But That doesn't mean that they can't be still on the soundtrack. I can see different singles.
I also feal like this is partly fearless's fault. Everyone who I have told to check out Toniight Alive had never heard of them but fell in love instanlly. They are getting little to know exposer outise of fans who already know them. Fearless needs to do more pushings of singles, more marketing, more promo. I have yet to here Tonight Alive on an Radio Station in This area, and I have not heard them played on Serius XM alternative or rock stations either. I lso have never seen any of their music videos played on Fuse, MTV or VH1. Theres been very little exposure in magazines in the United States, only during the warped tour really. I couldn't even find the other side in any stores, had to order it online to get the cd.
I'm kind of getting the feeling know that fearless just distributes tonight alives music in The United States. Once sony puts out a release, they just print it and make it available. No real pushing, no taking charge to make the band big.
I also wonder if fearless was to slow licensing The Edge, or was in some kind of licesing dispute / negotation to long with Sony thaty they didn't have the rights lined up intime for the song to make the sound trake in The United States and Canada, and because of that, the video licencing got held up.

I totally agree with you on Fearless! I've always thought that they don't do enough promo for the band. Like you said, anyone I've ever told about TA has checked them out and fallen in love, but didn't know who they were beforehand. I think if just a little more work was put in, they could go very far.
I don't want to assume too much in this Spider-Man situation, but they deserve more attention from the label than they seem to be getting. If you go to the press section on Fearless' site, it's not even updated. :/
I'm going to see about another interview with the band. I haven't seen any yet this tour, and it's really bumming me out.

The Music Video for The Edge is now Available on iTunes everywhere except the US and Canadian Stores. They are working on trying to make the music video available for us too, but it will take some time. They hope we will be able to get our hands on it soon though=)

I feel like the only promotion they get here in the States is in Alternative Press, which I don't think has as large of an audience as they used to. I hope we all get the music video soon! It seems like a lot of Australian videos on Youtube aren't available to us over here in the US & Canada.

Tonight Alive have uploaded to Vevo today a Behind The Scenes video for the Edge. It goes behind the scenes of the video and the song and how the song came about to being.
Sorry guys, it's not available in the United States or Canada without the use of a proxy.

The Edge is currently charting #1 in the Australian iTunes Store and #2 on the UK iTunes Store.
Unfortunately it is not charting at all on the US store, anyone think we can get it to chart? Tell everyone you know to buy it if they haven't already =)

Hmm, lets see #itunes #epic

I think Tumblr would be a good spot to post too. I have to really get my site going and build a twitter and tumblr follower base so I can help send out these times of tweets / posts.
