Tonight Alive performed a new song in London (or Brixton... can I call it either? I'm so confused) last night called "The Edge." I don't like to review songs when I've only heard them live, but this one sounds awesome so far!
Jenna answered a fan on Twitter and said that a studio version will be released.

Sweet, can't wait for the audio version to be released, from what I could make out from the sound and lyrics this song is sounding pretty sweet! What a pleasant surprise to come home from Parahoy and seeing this to help my with my post cruise depression.

I really like the sound they've been moving towards, especially with this song. It's too early to think of album #3, but if it eventually sounds like this, I'll be one happy camper.

It's horrible... mediocre radio friendly song, sounds like Evanescence...
One can always expect the worst when a band writes a song for a movie anyway, so this is no exception
I hope they don't turn out like this at all and go back to the energetic fast and mid-tempo pop-punk ASAP

I respectfully disagree that it's horrible. I really enjoy it. However, it does need to have a certain sound, with the amount of radio push it's going to be getting, to appeal to a wider audience. I think this easily could've gone on The Other Side (maybe as a bonus track) and fit in well. To each his own though. We still have a lot more TA songs to enjoy, even if not everyone likes this one. Also, here's a piano version my friend Sam did. He does a ton of piano covers, and I'm excited to see him doing more Tonight Alive:

chriss : You have the right do disagree, even not respectfully Nah I'm just afraid these kind of songs made for movies are usually a bit too "friendly" for me.. they're generally written to appeal to a potentially large audience and it's kind of the turn I'm worried the band will take within a few years.. But that's another topic I guess

I think they are a great selection for the Spider-Man soundtrack and that this is a perfect opportunity to introduce them to some new fans. I can't wait to see the video!
